Issue with gifting a bundle that I already own

I want to gift a game to my friend, particularly a good value bundle for the game. I already own the bundle, so when I try to add a copy of the bundle to my cart, it is greyed out and I cannot buy it. I have tried with steam through a browser and the steam app on my computer. How do I gift this bundle to my friend?

Sounds like a personalized bundles which can not be gifted at all.
Send them a digital Steam wallet card and have him buy the bundle themselves.

Most likely you can't. It sounds like its a tailored bundle that is designed to only give you the items you don't have. There is no way to gift those.

You could send friend the money instead with a note linking the bundle.

Which bundle? Some are tailored and can not be gifted.

If it's a tailored bundle, then you can only purchase it for yourself. If the game has a non tailored version of their bundle, you can gift that instead or send your friend a digital gift card so they can purchase the tailored bundle themselves.
