Easyanticheat problems

So for the past few weeks, whenever I play Apex or Dead by Daylight, once I close the game steam states that it's still running. Nothing shows up in taskmaster and even if I close steam completely-it is then not possible to open the games again. It comes up with a launch error 32 and I don't know how to fix it.

I've tried updating drivers, windows, my graphics, and even resetting my pc and reinstalling everything and it STILL won't work. Google hasn't helped at all, and I wondered if anyone had a solution? It's getting kinda tiring having to restart my pc every time I want to play a game

What they meant is to disable your anti-virus and firewall then run again your game.

here's the error. I removed my anti virus but not the fire wall, I suppose I could try that next

Have you looked at the Services menu in your program manager and made sure that it's enabled?

Also in the DBD forum, though this post is from 2019 hopefully it might help as it helped others:

The error is from Easy Anti-Cheat and is caused when it cannot create a system file to Windows.

The problem file itself is C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat\EasyAntiCheat.sys and sometimes deleting that only can fix it too. (the file will be recreated on next game or EAC launch - don't delete again unless it causes issues)

If the issue comes back you could try reinstalling EAC using the installer located here ..Steam\steamapps\common\Dead by Daylight\EasyAntiCheat\EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe
