Accessing my activation keys
Hi All,
I bought The Division Gold Edition recently and to change from the trial version you have to enter an activation key.

When I start the game and select "unlock" steam starts up a browser window and has "cd keys" in the top right of the screen. Clicking this brings up a new window entitled "Tom Clancy's The Division CD key".
[In case it makes any difference I am running on a machine with Arch Linux and Cinammon]
I have seen a picture of what this window should look like at :
https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2263-RIFC-1898&l=

However the window that opens is too small to show the entire key which is very long, the window cannot be resized and it does not have the "Copy Key to Clipboard" button. I took a screenshot here
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Qyw3-PjH0Gz-2So6FVKWVNrAJH5j9S6r/view?usp=sharing

Is there any other way I can access these cd keys other than from this window when in the game?

Also is there any way to actually speak to some sort of support at Steam? I have been round and round the Steam site but cant find any phone number, email or online chat with support which is rather poor for a company this size.

I'd be grateful for any help as I am stumped.
thanks

Hi, thanks for the response. Answers to your questions :

1. I didnt have to enter any form of licence key when I started the game it just automatically went into trial mode. I havent found anywhere in the game where a trial licence key could be found but I will look again.

2. tl;dr no sign of a Uplay window. When I click "Play" in Steam a "Ubisoft Connect" window pops up. I have to log in with my Ubisoft account. The "Ubisoft Connect" window closes, I get a "The Division" epilepsy warning come up for 5 seconds or so. That then goes away and I am in the game looking at the game with a picture of my character and the menu with Continue game, patch notes, options, etc. If I choose Continue I get a "Division" style message come up saying "Trial period has ended" and I can either click "Close" which takes me back to the menu or "Unlock" which brings up the Steam browser window and the cd key window that is too small.

3. I can highlight one of the lines but there is no "Copy to Clipboard" button. I saw that button in the picture at https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2263-RIFC-1898&l= but that button isnt in the window I get. Please see the 2nd link above for exactly what my window looks like. I have also tried highlighting one of the keys and then hitting Ctrl-C but that does not copy it either.

4. Yes, I can get into the game ok and see the main menu. Once the game has started if I click Continue to actually play it brings up the warning about the trial period ending.

If I get as far as the Trial period warning and click to "Unlock" the screen changes to a new window which I think is the "Ubisoft Connect" window where I can select several things including Friends, Feed, Store, Browser, Key Activation.
Try this:

Right click on game in library > Manage > CD Keys > Copy to Clipboard
That would be a really handy way of getting CD Keys. I've just tried it but in the Steam client in the Library when I right click on The Division (or any game) I dont get a "CD Keys" option. Just "Add desktop shortcut", "Browse local files", "Hide this game" and "Uninstall".

Perhaps the CD Keys menu option has been moved to somewhere else in the Steam client? I'm now looking but I cant find it anywhere.
If, in the Library, I go to Properties > DLC it opens up a window and included in the list of DLC is "Tom Clancy's The Division - Gold WW Uplay Activation" with a date but it doesnt give an actual key :(
In the client in the list of games on the left hand side right click the game and there should be a manage option as stated above

Edit: In the Properties > DLC page is the install box ticked?

Yes in the Steam client in the "Library" view I have a list of games I have added to my library down the left hand side. If I right click "The Division" in that list I get a menu with "Play", "Add to favourites", "Add to", "Manage" and "Properties".

If I select "Manage" the next menu is "Add desktop shortcut", "Browse local files", "Hide this game" and "Uninstall".

If I select Properties > DLC all of the items are ticked in the "Install" column including one named "Tom Clancy's The Division - Gold WW Uplay Activation".

When I start the game, in the bottom right I get a Steam notification pop up that says that the game will need activation keys. When I try to unlock the game Steam pops up again and offers that window with the list of keys that cant fully be seen. This leads me to think I need to actually type in activation keys to fully access the game. I'm almost there, I can see that I have activation keys. Its just that they are too long to display in the small (and unresizeable) Steam window that displays them. They must be recorded on the Steam servers somewhere that I can access right?
@ gebbly

Just had a live chat with Ubisoft support and sent them a link to this thread.

They should hopefully be able to resolve the issue for you.

Contact them at the link below:

Remember to log in before starting your case (top right).

Select > PC > The Division > Keys and Codes > Not Listed here

Scroll down to live chat and click on it.

Thats great thanks for helping @NxMaxhina. (and thanks for all the help from everyone else).
I tried using ubisoft support before but it kept greying out the submit buttons so I couldnt contact them.

When you say to scroll down as all other fields have been filled in, when I follow that link it takes me to the ubisoft page to create a new case without any fields filled in.
Was there a case number or something I could refer to when I try the live chat?

I see you changed the previous posting. I'll try as you suggest and start a live chat with them.

It's to late now but for anyone with this problem in the future.
1. Uninstall uplay completely
2. Reinstall from the latest version
3. Restart your pc.
Afterward uplay launcher will detect the new game. ( works with all uplay games bought by 3rd party stores)

Found this in a thread in the division forums

Your welcome.

I clicked on the link after posting to then realise it gets reset and why I edited the post.

Remember to link the thread for clarity of the issue.

Hope you get it resolved.

Regarding Uplay I havent installed Uplay directly. I simply used Steam to install The Division and play it through Steam. It takes me through a "Ubisoft Connect" login with no mention of Uplay. That combined with being on Linux and I dont think I could uninstall/reinstall Uplay seperately.
Regarding the support call with Ubisoft I got no joy there either. After providing some info and a screenshot of an "ownership" folder I was told the activation keys were handled by Steam and I had to raise a ticket with Steam.

No matter how hard I look I cannot find a way of raising a ticket with Steam, they've done a real good job of hiding it. All I can find are these forums and that unhelpful self help Q&A thing.
The closest I can get to Steam support is
https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2263-RIFC-1898&l=
" you will need to contact the respective support department for that service."

and absolutely no information on how to contact them.

Or
https://support.steampowered.com/kb_cat.php?id=7&t=qanda
"The Help site will guide you to self-solve the issue or send a help request to the Steam Support team."
no it wont.
