Steam on Linux, cannot install Elder Scrolls Online

Yesterday I installed Steam on Linux Mint 20.2 Cinnamon on an older PC with a Ryzen 7 1700 and a Geforce GTX 1700.

I've installed a few games. Som of them work But I ran into two issues.

- One Game,C&C Red Alert 3, works, but only starts up after several minutes after clicking 'Play'. I added 'PROTON_LOG=1 %command%' to the properties to generate a log noticed a series of errors, all stating:
'ERROR: ld.so: object '/home/bert-jan/.steam/debian-installation/ubuntu12_32/gameoverlayrenderer.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded (wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32): ignored.'
Not sure if this has anything to do with the delay, though.

- I cannot install Elder Scrolls Online. The first steps work fine, but when I get to the 'Installation Options' screen, a popup reports '20GB Required / 7GB Available'. The disk in question has a little over 100GB GB available, though.
As a test, I've set the Steam Library to another drive with almost 400 GB available, but got the exact same result; the game only sees 7 GB of space. I have no clue wat would cause this.

Any help, especially with Elder Scrolls Online, would really be appreciated!

It has gold on protondb. A few of the reports say to add PROTON_SET_GAME_DRIVE=1 %command% in the launch options, maybe look a bit around the reports to see what works with a simular system as yours

hmm yeah, and im happy that im not in steam shoe's if you notice the Emulator is not allowed and offcial game is not supported to linux.

Proton is not an emulator, it uses Wine as a compatibility layer, Proton being made by Valve. It's to help with non-native Linux games like this

Yes, I realize that, but like iogith mentioned, there are quite a few people that hev EDO running very well under Linux. I hope to be among them :-)
