Disk write error

Hi guys,

I've had a problem installing games for as long as I can remember. My downloads will automatically pause every 10 or so minutes and I have to manually resume it. It always says "Disk Write Error." Today I was installing Sea of Thieves and it paused again like it usually does. I didn't think my of it but when I tried to resume it immediately paused again. I've looked everywhere for solutions and couldn't find anything. pleeeaaassseee help.

Are you having disk space at all, anything lesser then 500gb can be a issue with newest games that 100gb in DL. 1 to 5 Ration in unpacking,

Let's rule out the most common cause first: background crapware.
Start your system in safe mode (for obvious reasons with networking). Does Steam download then?

im having the same issue but with dota2 only...i already re install steam and dota2...1 day it works...and now disk write error comes back again...i tried to check memory and it says no error found...then after i restart my PC all the games was uninstalled....-.-

You have Anti virus blocking issue, then it work first time but not next reboot. thats a classic game block by security app.
