My friend refunded a game i gifted them

I gifted my friend dead by daylight, they had less than 2 hours played before they refunded it on the 21st of June. As of now, it’s the 27th of June and i’ve not received the refunded cash. Any tips?

He has to auth the return to your account, then you have to ask for the refund

He has refunded the gift, and he ticked the box which allows me to request for a refund. I already have the game, so how may I request the refund from the gifted copy?

I've never faced this case before, so I'm not sure if I can be of any help, but have you tried clicking "Help" > "Steam Support" > "Games, Softwares, etc" > (search for your game) ? That's where you normally refund a game, but maybe there's a new button there for you, to refund the game you gifted ?

In any case, sounds like Steam should make this more simple. Like sending you a notification when your friend refunds the game you gifted them, to warn you and send you directly where you need to go.

Yeah mate, after i went onto steam support i went to Purchases, saw the gifted game, and i've requested a refund for it, Cheers mate.
