About EA/Origin games on Steam, when EA account is banned

Hi!

My EA account was banned a few days ago, I have no idea why. I hadn't played anything on Origin for 1-2 months and double checking the terms, I supposedly had violated, there wasn't anything, that I had done. I have contacted EA support about the ban, to hopefully get it rectified.

So my question is related to it;
If I have or purchase a game on Steam, that requires to be linked to an EA account, will that game work/activate on Steam regardless of the EA account being banned?
There are couple games, that I was considering buying before the ban and would still want to, that are also available on Steam. Don't know if any of the games I have on Steam atm, needs to be linked with the EA account, so can't check myself. And I don't want to buy the games, just to find out I can't play them because of the ban and waste my money.

I know this is an old thread but what ended up happening? I’ve been trying to log into my origin account lately and got the same message. I want to play dragon age inquisition and own the game on pc and console. I want to check if I have the game of the year version on pc but can’t log in.

Tried to log into origin on my phone instead and it said my account has been banned same messages as you.

Apparently It was banned in feb.

I have a total of 5 games on origin and all of them are single player l. No idea what I was banned

Took about a month, but the appeal went through and my account was unbanned. But didn't get any actual reason for the ban. I still assume it was the purchase of NFS Heat, that appeared twice in my paypal, other was completed, other was pending. The pending one disappeared in about a week, so didn't give it any thought after that.. But that is just a guess.

It's YOUR job to know if your Origin account is banned and then NOT buy EA games on Steam. Steam can't see bans on accounts linked on the other end.
