library keeps freezing

So all of a sudden my steam client library keeps freezing and i found out that it will only freeze if I try to interact with my friend list like if u go to csgo page in library and see if ur friend is playing and if u try to interact with the friend bar there (right click) it just freezes and I have to restart it using task manager or else it wont unfreeze, also when it freezes it only affects the library page, I can still clik on other sections of the steam like the market and store page.

its not the games its the library page the games works fine but when still in steam library if i try to right click on my friends to see what they are doing it just freezes

having the same issue only the Library freezes and can't be clicked on, other then the top tabs, when i right click on friends who play section in the library. Best guess is its a recent bug from an update exiting steam or closing via. task manager and re-login is the only way i have been able to fix it. Though i did minimize steam and found the right click bar from steam was just on my screen went away when i click the actual desktop probably connected but can't confirm.

It happens to me today. Has anyone found the solution to this? It only freeze when I right click on friend icon in the game section of the library. I can still go to store, go to other section except anything in the library which you cannot scroll, click play games or any other interaction. It comes back to work if you restart steam but anything else, it is just frustrating.

It started happening to me few days ago. I didn't change -anything- in my system at all to cause it. I even reinstalled Steam client and rebooted the system for no avail.

I'm using a stable release, though. But it's somewhat reassuring that it's getting more reports and recognition so that it gets fixed in a reasonable time.
