fallout 4 cd key preventing me from buying f4 goty

My brother bought a CD key for fallout 4 GOTY in 2017, but i don't have a cd reader in my pc, so i wanted to delete f4 and buy the bundle with fallout 4 GOTY and skyrim. However when i try to buy the bundle, it says i can't because i already have fallout, even though i specefied that i wanted it completely removed from my account. anyone have any ideas on how to fix this issue?

Yeah, that does no longer work. Even if you remove a game from your account it prevents you from rebuying the same game and prompts you to restore the removed version.
You also dont need the disc for Fallout 4, if the game was activated in your account you can just install the game from your library.

You can't. The developer sets up the bundles and they set it up so you can only buy it if you don't own it.

A lot of games may have the option to upgrade your version to goty versions or something similar and you can see if that's the case here.

Otherwise you will need to buy the extra content on it's own if this is not an option.

Also if you want Skyrim they are releasing ANOTHER version soon from what i hear, so not sure if its worth waiting....

Supposed to be 500+ items from the creators club, fishing, etc. So kinda curious on the price and more details on it.

For Fallout 4, see if you have all the DLCs available in the GOTY edition already. Otherwise just get the Season Pass (currently $5.24).

If you want Skyrim SE then wait for a sale or purchase from another reputable online vendor (see isthereanydeal).

Fallout 4 works perfectly well (even better, in fact) with just plain old Nexus mods. ... save your money.
