HELP! Problem Linking EA account to Steam Account

Hello, I have been trying to link my EA account to my steam account. I was connected at one point but now i am no longer connected. I have been on the phone with ea help for hours. I get an "account Ineligible" pop up that says either my steam or origins account is ineligible when trying to link accounts and sign into ea with steam. I have never been banned on either platforms so i am not sure how to fix this. Just want to be able to play APex and Madden through steam instead of origins.
PLEASE HELP anything with help

Look in origin account page what steam account you are connected with.
Ea accounts can only be connected once, if you disconnect it, its over

In the connections tab on origins is says that there are no connections on my origins account

You should be able to connect back the one you had connected.

I only have 1 steam account so i dont think it could have been connected to another account i just get an account ineligible pop up every time i try to connect it

try taking a bat and hitting your wifi router
worked for me
