Uninstall Game from one Profile and Reinstall to Another Profile

I bought a game for my son and installed it on the my profile accidentally instead of his profile. Can I uninstall it on the wrong profile and install it on his profile? Thank you.

No. It's not possible to trade games. You can use family sharing however. Or if you have only just bought it, you could refund it and rebuy it.

If your library is in use, then no.

If this is a game you bought on Steam store page itself, you can put in a request for a refund, as long it's not over 2hours of gameplay, and no longer than 14 days of purchase date. Visit your account purchase history, click on the game purchase, and click the refund option, and explain your problem to them. If you get approved, your funds will be return, and then you can buy the game on your son account.

If you redeem the game by key, this is not possible to refund, nor can you transfer it, as once the game key used, it's bound to that account forever.

Family share allow accounts to share games with each other. But do note only one library can be shared at a time. That means let say you're account A, and your Son is account B.

If A want to play a game from B library, and B start playing a, A will get 5 mins warning before being booted off the game, due to B playing a game. The same happens vice versa. Think of this you both can't drive the same car at the same time.

If A playing A library, and B playing B library, there be no problems as not sharing ATM.
