I was looking for a Post like this.
Me and my friend were playing cs go and our mics stopped working too.
Restarted my pc after the first game.
Second game was fine at first but then everybody on the server lost their mics.

Tabbed into the overlay and read that i have been kicked from the session. Although i was playing fine.

I think its safe to say that its a steam issue.

Voice works on Windows 10, at least for most people, so I don't think that's the actual issue here but rather something else is happening. I would like to understand more about what is happening. If you can answer the following it would help us debug further:

1) Are you using the new Friends Voice Settings? Hit the Gear icon near top right of friends list, choose voice on the left column. These settings impact mic in the new chat, the old In-Game Voice settings only impact Steamworks games using our mic capture and do not impact the new chat at all.

2) When you talk, but others don't hear you, are you seeing the blue/green bar on the right of your avatar move up and down (this is your volume). If you are not, then hover the Microphone icon in your voice chat, is it telling you that you have no mic or that your browser blocked your mic? If so this is the issue.

3) If the bar is moving and you see your volume locally, then the problem is connecting to and transmitting voice to our servers. If you are trying in the Steam client can you try in Chrome and see if you have the same issue? If it's not working in Chrome either, then try going to chrome://webrtc-internals/ in a seperate Chrome tab, and look at "iceconnectionstate" change events which may give you some info on network failures. You need to have port 27015 open for outbound UDP to our servers and you need to be able to receive UDP packets back from our servers to your local port (chosen by Chrome/WebRTC when connecting to our servers on 27015).
