Computer must be rebooted

Each time I leave a game and come back later to play another I have to reboot my computer, why?

Without knowing anything at all about your computer, which games you're playing, or what specific error leads you to think you have to do this, no one can help.

Please be SPECIFIC. Have you been able to play games normally, switching out games and not having to reboot, before now? When did this start happening?

Are you on a laptop or desktop? Are you shutting your computer down correctly when you're not using it? Or are you allowing it to go into hibernation / sleep mode? Steam doesn't play well with Sleep modes.

I am using a desk top with win 10 64 bit. when I stop playing COH2 and go other to something else and come back I get a error message saying I have to go in and validate my files. When I go to do that I find the game is still running and the only way to shut it down is to reboot.

I am not using sleep mode. I am just going to another program.

Please go to the top of your Steam library window, and click HELP > SYSTEM INFORMATION, and paste the info here.

Something is probably interfering with your steam folders, or your system is badly in need of fine tuning.

are u leaving the game open?

Your computer is probably messed up, then, because if lots of other people are able to play and then swap games, it's neither steam nor the game doing it.

I love how you have yet to answer anything completely or accurately. Can't help if you don't actually do the help > system info paste...
