New Steam Update

I'm looking for the discussion regarding the Steam update. This discussion forum doesn't seem to be very user-friendly. Where is that discussion.

This morning, when the update happened, there was a forum on this event there. I read many of the posts, and figured I should be able to easily find this, and read more of it. I did the update. (I read forums, and felt that this was a discussion to read.) Later on today, when downloading a game, I saw the new downloads page. I really hate that you can no longer 'collapse' games that want updates. My options are 1. decide to keep them always updated, even though I'm not playing them. 2. uninstall them. 3. be ok with the list of them--now non-collapseable--(also may have even been able to be deleted from list, not sure.) I'm not ok with that option. It also now has a big fat space, that says you have nothing in your queue.

If anyone knows, where can I find the "discussion", regarding this significant Steam UI update? Why is that difficult to find? I don't see it.

That is partially related, and I'll read it. But I'm looking more for where is the forum that is dedicated to the update itself. I know It exists, because I saw it. Thanks though. It's interesting that it's locked.

Participate in the beta by clicking steam then account then change beta Participation to Participate in the beta before it comes to steam then you can see a form for beta.

Or go to steam suggestions/ideas to post your suggestions.

There is no form to talk about update. But I think steam community is the form you need. If you just want to talk about update without being a member of the beta.

Thanks, but I'm not interested in a suggestions page. I am looking for the page that had the forum that was explicitly about the new Steam update. It was there when the update was presented earlier today.

You can't go back to old steam version. And the only way to see people talking about the update you just received is in the beta form but you can't access that form till you sign up for beta Participation.

Or go to steam community and talk about update there.

Steam suggestions is where steam valve employees look to see what the users want and if they might add it to the beta to add to steam at some point.

It's an announcement discussion, and you can get to it by clicking on the megaphone icon near your username at the top-right of the client.

I'm thinking that's it. It was definitely part of the announcement. It even has a discussion link. I'll have to see the part where several people were unhappy with the removal of the recent friends activity in the library. Something along those lines. I still don't understand why this is not readily accessable in the Steam forums. It was in front of me 12 hours ago. Thanks for your help :)

That is under Steam Blog > Events and Announcements. If someone is looking for this under Community, they would not find anything along those lines there (that I am seeing). What section leads to the Steam Blog? I don't see this there.
