F.e. the screenkeyboard function pops up while ingame.
How to disable the mapping?
You already have the solution as noted in your OP post - turn Steam off.
If you want Steam to make your gamepad act like a mouse/keyboard on your desktop, it does exactly that. Some game will then get both, so have this game ignore one.
Warzone works best with its own controller set up and i can't make it ignore steam input.
It doesnt work. Warzone still prefers its own settings (even when i switch to keyboard/mouse input mode) and the conflict is stil present.
And its also unsatisfying because it would also mean to ignore Warzones ingame controller settings, which are not overtaken by the steam settings.
A standby function would be the best solution in my opinion. Or a blacklist for games, something like that.
Anyway, start the game through Steam. When started through Steam, Steam knows there's a game running. This way, Steam's desktop settings won't apply anymore, problem solved.
I couldn't find any option to disable steam gamepad settings for Warzone. And you cant completely disable warzone gamepad usage in the ingame options. It automatically changes its input, depending what you are doing (keyboard/gamepad)
And sorry to ask you this, but are you even familiar with warzone or are you just giving generic answers?
Are you butthurt, because you wanted me to tell you exactly the steps to do, while I'm gathering some information, which would be what I'd be doing if I was having technical trouble in the gaming or other department?
Anyway, start the game through Steam as I told you previously.
its not working because the game doesnt even start. "starting the game" starts the battle.net launcher and from there it doesnt start. it says launching and then does nothing.
Click on View and Show Hidden Devices, and look for Windows xBox 360 Controllers on the bottom.
Delete all controllers listed in there and reboot your computer.
It should be fixed, if not, then try fix number 2.
Fix 2: Open/Launch Steam and put it into Big Picture Mode.
In Big Picture Mode go to Settings, then Controller configuration.
In the Controller Configuration menu (it should display an xBox Controller), select the D-Pad (Directional Pad).
Select Advanced Settings and then turn off Haptics Intensity.
Save your config and enjoy.
