No Game Guides option with SHIFT+TAB

Hey guys

Sometimes I use the SHIFT+TAB option during the game to access the Guides option. As you can see in the image below:

However, sometimes when I press SHIFT+TAB during the game, the menu is different and the Guides option doesn't appear in the menu, as you can see in the image below:

PS: the screenshots are in Portuguese, but I imagine you can understand.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Possibly there is parts in the game you're playing that is a mission or quest and therefor some actions can't be performed.
I do the same but I always pause the game first then use the Shift +Tab
I'll even go s far as have youtube walkthrough paused will pause shift tab and alt tab out to watch the video.
A work around for your problem would be to right click the guide page copy the url for the guide and paste it into a web page then you can alt tab out any time and view it.

But in both games mentioned above, I pressed SHIFT+TAB in the game's start menu.
I believe it has to do with the layout. Because in the exemple where the guides appear, it has the default overlay layout, and the one where they don't appear, has the BigPicture overlay layout.

Anyway, the url option can be a temporary solution, tks for the tip.

Yep, there is:

It's not a problem only with this game. Some games the guides become avaliable in steam overlay, some games not.
