Question Re: Additional Showcases

Are the showcases you get with steam points in addition to the ones you get with level or separate? For example if I was level 10 and got a custom info box showcase with steam points can I then have that and something else for my level or just one showcase and it just allows you to have more than 1 assuming you are a high enough level to have multiple showcases.

Also: Can they be used below level 10?

You need to have slots unlocked by leveling to use the additional showcases.
They act like the normal showcases you get every 10 Steam level, just that you can have two of the same category.
And no, you cant set them if you are below Steam level 10.
So for a point shop extra showcase to make any sense, you need to be at least level 20 on Steam to display two of the same category.

But I'm level 110 with 15 showcases because I bought 4 of them. I already had all of my available showcase slots in use, and when I bought more, it added extra slots instead of forcing me to change the ones I was already using.

If you buy 1, if you are Level 10, you will have 2 "custom info box" showcases (1 free, 1 from points shop).

Just 1.

Look at this way, at level 10 you will have 1 showcase SLOT.

There are multiple options for which showcase you can display, but at level 10 you can only choose 1 at a time.

So it doesn't matter how many showcase upgrades you buy from the points shop, you will still only have one slot to use.

yes, you can use both "custom info box" showcases

Correct. Points shop additional showcases bypass the level restrictions.

I'm level 20 and I have 2 showcases. I just bought another one but when I go to equip it I still only have 2 slots avaliable. But my friend who is level 22 has 4 slots. How does this work???

Thanks for nice explanation. Now, my curiosity is on the "Level up your showcases" feature. If you have already tried it, what does it do?

I can only guess that the certain quantity of a respective showcase category that was upgraded is having its quantity doubled (like in Items Showcase, it'll be 20 shown instead of 10 if upgraded once). Am I correct with the guess or no?
