But there MUST be a way to play in 2K AND have 60FPS with v-sync ON, hell, some people even play in 4K and have 60fps.
What the display model having trouble?
What are you using HDMI, DVI, or Display port?
Did you check if the display cable not the issue?
Did you do a video driver update recently when the issue occur?
Ensure not using something that trying to press it own vsync, or messing with the game own vsync.
Did you mess with Nvidia control panel for handing vsync, or DSR?
Disconnect TV so system not seeing it, try rebooting after disconnect TV, and test out games with vsync was there any changes? Before doing this if you have lot of items on your desktop, take a screenshot so you can help yourself reorganize them for later.
2. HDMI
3. How could the cable be the issue? It is intact, if that is what you're asking
4. Video driver updated yesterday
5. How should I know if something is messing with the v-sync? Where to look? Nvidia settings?
6. No, I only set the max framerate to 60 to disable v-sync and have a stable framerate!
7. So just pull the HDMI cable or what?
This is something that often gets overlooked: cables are REALLY finicky. Sometimes all you have to do is *switch which end is going into what part*.
And suddenly "it just works". It's very weird, but it is a known thing that does sometimes help!
your gpu is definitely capable of 2160p@60 hz but your cable has to be at least a 'high-speed' hdmi cable. older 'standard' hdmi cable will only support 1080p@60 hz (they usually arent sold anymore).
this may also be your tv if it is an older model it might only support @30 hz or you have to check your tv hdmi settings if there is any option to enable 1440p/2160p@60 hz.
eventually its just that (one) port on your tv. might check if others work
The cable could also be the problem, since it was rather cheap, but I still have two other, one from my receiver and one from my PS4.
But since my new monitor will arrive today, I don't have to worry about the TV anymore 😉
