why do people think it matters how long they have used something? IT DOESNT MATTER, NOBODY GIVES A DAMN.
Also because you don't like them, Steam should remove them? oki doki
There are entire subcommunities like furries that are hated worldwide because of exactly that.
Thank you for being one of the only people to have a rational take on my post. This is, and was clearly all I ever intended to point out. I wanted to know what IP it was attached to, and provided a link to the sale. I wanted an explanation, not a page of brainless posts defending dog penis used as marketing imagery. Later on that first day someone who looked much closer than I did also pointed out that the dog has a weird, external pushed out anus. Which once again, is a very interesting artistic choice for a public sale page.
To those saying it's weird for me to criticize it while having sexualized games in my library I don't think you are registering the difference between a private library, that nobody has to go look at, and a midweek madness sale advertised on the front page of the steam store.
That was one of my first conclusions. I figured it was a japanese character trope that was being referenced poorly.
No idea why artist does this, yes male dogs have a ♥♥♥♥ get over it geez, normally cover by fur if not turn on, or in heat, but you STILL can tell it's a male even if not having an erection if they lay like that. But going by reaction in image, I assume dog is either in heat, or just that something peaked it's interest, can't say what the reason to why artist done this.
Now I don't care about animals having erections, like I seen a horse walks around my city with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ erection, so yea not like animals can't have them. But anyways I can guess why this may bother some people seeing such things from artist that does this. But don't let this consume your life because of this, one thing to be bother, but there no reason to be going bananas over it, could ask support to see if they can have it edited, or something, but whatever.
^This is a very likely possible thing.
It doesn't get hard, in order to pee... That was my only point. It's a sex organ, regardless of what stimulates it, it is what it is.
Which is why I posted the response "An erection isn't sexual" as a response. to this:
That post got deleted because of how out of hand this thread was allowed to become yesterday. Despite her immediately attacking me afterwards and her nonsense still being there. The message might not have been well conveyed but it's very simple and didn't break any rules.
It's from the background art on the start screen of an old version of Amazing Cultivation Simulator. As far as how 'bad' does it get, besides the original questionable choice there, the game isn't sexual in nature at all as it's a management game. It's akin to other colony simulation management games (Rimworld etc) but based around Chinese mythology/spirituality.
Considering that it is first and foremost a Chinese game that was translated for the English audience, хорек fretka's response that it may be an unintended thing due to cultural differences may have some merit.
FINALLY
If I had points I'd award this post. Thank you for finally establishing some kind of reasoning/connection to the actual sale.
I think that pretty self explanatory.
But let be real this won't really bother kids really as such, if kids are scar by seeing dog cleaning itself, doing nature's call, or etc, yea there be some crazy rule making dogs wear pants. Now the art in question is somethings to question, but not something to lose your mind over it.
And I seen a enough of hypocrites on the internet, where there "think of the children" people but we're ok with kids playing mass gore genocide games, drug use, romance / sex moments, etc. I can name how bunch of AAA games that has some of these things easily and they're the most common thing kids play too, from GTA, Doom, and so much more.... Yea pretty big F compare to single image, just saying.
Now it's understandable if there the handful of "special" individuals that seeks protection over their children which won't allow any of inappropriate things, TBH, the best place for them would be Nintendo, under the parents supervision.
The internet is way worse, and can easy get access to way worse than this image easily with simple search engine, and that the sad truth. If the parent wants to protect them from all kinds of exposures, then they actually have to supervise their children, instead of expecting anyone to do it for them, especially the internet.
Will this dog image ruin someone life? Very doubtful.
Will it just bother someone? Probably.
Should we shame the artist for not think about the children? Not really, but someone will.
"Think of the children" isn't the point, or the topic I even intended to raise. You shouldn't blame the artist either, the only one to blame for any offense given is whoever chose that image for marketing without considering pr. There had to have been plenty of other assets from the games to use while assembling the bg.
If I were the one assembling that page before submitting it I probably wouldn't have risked it.
1 i never said anywhere that kids playing gore games is a good thing so please don't imply that i said that. Second your statement that "it wont bother kids" is an assumption because like i said before just because it doesn't bother you it doesn't mean that other people aren't bothered by it. Calling parents "Special individuals" because they're trying to protect their children shows how little knowledge you have about how minds of young people work, i can tell you from experience that it all started with a simple sexualized cartoon for me and it didn't take long before i found Pornography which was the biggest mistake i have ever done in my life Alhamdulillah later in my life i was able to Quit. I think you should first read on how the human brain works and how it responds to sexual stimuli it can literally change somebodies brain and ruin their life. And like i said before YES they can find worse things on the internet but why make STEAM the first place they discover something like that?
