I informed them that I did not have any cdkey and they proceeded to close my ticket. But why does the password recovery not work since I have the email with which it was created
If you used payment method on the account you're trying to recover, like credit card, bank transfer, something to lead them with some proof, tell them that. So open a new ticket, and try again, it may be frustrating, but don't give up hope.
Also, as you don't have a cd key, be sure to include one of the other methods on the ”proof of ownership” list. Slot this in at the top, in a separate line, and just noting what it is. You want to make sure the person looking at the ticket sees it. Don't bury it in text. Support’s a tough job sometimes people miss things.
If they close the ticket after that...then I don't know and I can't think of a reason they would be so insistent on just the CD key.
Yeah if you don't have the login information you need evidence that the account is yours. You can try asking them if you can provide financial proof, aka credit card info, bank info, etc instead of the CD key

It is something that I cannot understand as having an original username and email I cannot recover my own account because the password recovery function does not work, that is, anyone in my same situation cannot do anything
If you abandoned the account years and years ago, you will still need to provide the information they ask for.
This is why keeping receipts, particularly for things like "starting an account anywhere" is REALLY important.
If you do not have the login information, they cannot help you find that, as you might be some entire random person with half a log in looking to scam for the rest. The USER name is not important. The ACCOUNT name IS. Whatever got displayed, can change. The name that was associated with the account when you created it should be unique.
And when you say "anyone in my situation can't do anything" you'd be wrong. Follow the above information. you've waited 17 odd years. You can be patient and follow instructions presumably better than a kid might when they made an account a full adult-lifetime ago...
I have the username and the steam name I have the 2 and the original email, anyway I did not make any purchase with that account there is no way that I can show any proof of purchase or credit card, that's why the data that They ask is illogical since I did nothing of what they ask me to demonstrate
The reason why support asking is when an alert asking for their support, means you need help getting access to something, and in order for them to provide any support, they need to ensure if you're the owner, by providing proof of ownership, such as CD key, or a payment method. If you can't provide this, support can't help.
You can say having email, and login, but that doesn't prove being the owner, as often phishing sites, or hijackers use key combo, like emails, username, and password, and try to do password forget, or trying to ask support for access, and nearly all services they have things that only owner should have access to, which is payment method, or a CD key get from retail copy of game, or wallet card.
Anyone who hacked your email account for instance would have the same info. Hence why they ask for more.
