so i tried to play for honor and i got this message.

launch error

game security violation (00000018h)

then i tried to play vermintide 2 and the same error came. i don't know what this thing means but i have never used cheats or anything so please, help

do use Easy Anti Cheat? a quick google search shows a possible correlation between EAC and the error you are getting.

i don't think i use easy anti cheat. i don't even know what it is to be honest

Both games use eac.

you sure its not own Security app that popup about the game, even as above and think its EAC and still look like you know what you are talking about.

this is possbile anti virus app blocking issue , and it keep change overtime and get more issue with well know games that work for years.

and its your own Responsibilities to deal with own app , and make allow rules.

if you notice other post from today, people complain over steam cant connect and they it turn out later people own problem with new pc, and im sorry , this is maybe new to many , but ask any gamer from over 25-40 years this is actual nothing new.

Firewall to Anti virus app to thirdpart link protection service or even Browser that block a link.
user own problem and need to learn to deal with it.
