My 8BitDo SN30 Pro+ is identified as an XBone controller. How do I change it to PS4?
I'm more familiar with the PS4 controller button layout and would like to switch to those. The game I'm currently playing is asking for on-screen inputs of X, Y, A, and B, and while I can adjust to these, it will take some time, and I'd rather not.

It will not, I bought a 8bitDo and did contact support over it. They say it will only detect is as Xbox controller and had no intention of ever changing it.

This is the one I'm using and its able to detect the controller as a DS4. The price has only gone up though, you might have to look somewhere closer to you if you can even find a decent price for it. Since its no longer sold normally I believe.

As for on screen inputs, most games only have the 360xbox layout but more games are allowing you to switch to a DS4 controller layout in settings. If the game doesn't have it, asking on their forum would be another option in hope they add it.

Button layout in games is not always determined by the controller inputted - the majority of games on PC have the Xbox controller buttons displayed even if you are using an official PS4 pad for instance. You'll just have to memorise the buttons - it's easy once you know them.
