Refund request not approved OR rejected
Please help!! I have requested a refund for 5 games same day as purchase and didn’t even play any of them. I had an email confirming my request but never got one to say that it had either been approved or rejected. This was 8 months ago! What do I do? As I’m owed over £100 and can’t find any way of getting a direct response from steam.

Check your bank/card statements. Chances are that you refunded so soon after the purchase their was nothing to refund as the transaction was pending. Meaning funds were on hold but had not actually been transferred. All that would happen is the transaction would have been cancelled. Releasing the funds from being on hold. As nothing left the account there would be nothing to return.

Explain the issue, listing all items, and hope. You wouldn't wouldn't be able to start a new refund and well outside the 2 week limit so I'd assume it'll be a no

I requested the refund the same day. Checked my bank statements and £148 has gone out on 24 March but nothing has gone back in.

What did the tickets say? They were either approved or denied or still open, there is no other option.

So if it left and didn't go back in chances are you still won't get it back because you've waited 8 months.

Best option is to contact them, explain, and hope they can find whether it got rejected/accepted. If it was accepted and not refunded they should be able to give you the money. That's only if it got accepted and they can identify that you never got the money.

However the fact you've left it 8 months could complicate matters

This game count should be 6 based on purchases.

Very often if you refund the same day as the purchase, the transaction is canceled by Valve, no money left your account and so no money needs to be refunded. This is a common occurrence and people are often confused because their expectations are the money leaves their account immediately so it needs to be returned. But not all transactions are instantaneous like people tend to imagine.

But if you're convinced this is wrong, you need to open a ticket with Steam support, or possibly talk to your bank. But I'm almost certain this is just a misunderstanding on your part.
