Pay for Valve Index with paypal credits

In Germany (maybe in whole europe too) it is possible to pay in some online shops with paypal credit. That means you can pay the amount between 99-5000Euro in the next 12 Months - like a credit. Is this option also available here in Steam when I buy the Valve Index?

I believe steam requires Paypal accounts to be backed with a real bank account not credit due to fraud.

Nah, I paid some games during the Halloween Sale with PayPal credit and my card was basically empty (there were only 0.70€ in my card, which I didn't even use).

Purchasing the Index might have a different restriction.

Steam and PayPal have a weird relationship so it’s hard to say what you can or can’t do since it’s highly dependent on your region of purchase

Basically the only way to know if it’ll work for you, is to try to buy it and see what funding options are available in the transaction. Most users who have issues say that they are unable to select credit card backed payment methods, and can only use bank backed or PayPal balance directly. So it should be fairly obvious upon checkout
