Xbox Series X Controller + Xbox Wireless Adapter Not Recognized by Steam
I have a Xbox Series X controller that I am connecting to my PC via a xbox wireless USB adapter. When connected, Windows can see the controller, the Xbox accessory app can see the controller, and joy.cpl can see the controller. Yet Steam shows no controller connected. If I plug in the controller via USB-C, Steam can see the controller. If I unpair my Series X controller, and pair my Xbox One controller via the wireless adapter, Steam can see the controller.

Troubleshooting steps I have tried are
-Updating Windows
-Reinstalling Xbox Accessory app
-Reinstalling Xbox USB adapter driver
-Several computer restarts

I am at my wits end here. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Turns out it was a conflict with vJoy. I uninstalled vJoy and everything started working. My theory is the issue was vJoy was configured for Slot 1 which is was conflicting with the Xbox controller but I have not tested that yet.
