My profile game number count is bugged
Hello

I'm very frustrated by an issue.
My account/profile games number data is simply bugged, broken.

I have no doubt on this, as this is my second time that after a purchase my game number didn't increase.

Today, 1 January 2020, I purchased 5 games that are all well established games ( Hitman Blood Money, Hitman Contracts, Pilgrims, Avengast and Perils of Man and my account game number didn't record the purchase!!

So, as you can see, those games aren't free, aren't DLC-s, aren't "steam is still learning about this game" , "profile resources limited" type of games, so any rational explanation is not valid here.

I had 75 games before the purchase, and 75 games after!! It is bugged!
Also 1 week ago I received Kopanito: All stars soccer as a gift and also my account game number wasn't updated/increased! Kopanito is also a well established game that should increase the game number, but it didn't!

So my account game number is broken!! Anybody has this same problem?
I know that the games are in my library and I can play them, but we all know that most of us care for our profiles and for what is shown on the profile, and now I'm frustrated because my profile shows a falsified-decreased number of games.

Thank you

Maybe steam support asnwered my plea, because I let them know about my problem beforehand. Or maybe the system updated itself after I removed a free game from my account.
Anyway, the system updated itself and my game count jumped from 75 to 80. (of course, withouth me buying additional games).
That is PROOF, that sometimes the game count sometimes GLITCHES and doesn't register a purchase of well established games.
This is a very important discovery, because it proves that sometimes all the references cSglmc-Hotsauce is talking are not the explanation of why the profile game count doesn't register purchased games.

More like theirs a delay with new stuff being added. Server backlog, lots of sales.....is the winter sale or something. When you change something it takes time to reflect it. I pay my credit card from my bank. Usual it's done there and then but sometimes it can take a few hours to show as completed.

Some user Perform what is needed to unlimit their accounts but it doesn't show immediately. They have to wait for it to be updated. Quite often this can be quickened by close the client and reloading it.

There are many games that don't count towards the badge regardless if you "paid" for them or not.

1. Free2Play games don't count. Unless you paid to make it a premium license. This is different than the free for a limited time games.

2. Games removed by Valve don't count. https://steam.madjoki.com/apps/banned

3. There are also games that are in the "Learning" phase...

4. And also games with "Profile Features Limited..."

Ok, cSg|mc-Hotsauce, please be advised that your reply is not valid.

I ALREADY SAID that the games I bought were NOT free2play, they were NOT in the learning phase, and they were NOT in the profile features limited.
So, your reply does not explain why those games did not increase my game number.

About games being removed by Valve.
I just checked my library one by one all games.
Of all my purchased established games ( so, not counting the profile limited and steam is learning about this game that never increased the count in the first place), ONLY 1 GAME of my list was banned.
So that explains why when I purchased Kopanito it didn't increase my game count, but it DOESN'T explain why when I purchased the latest 5 games, that it didn't increase my count.

Sometimes there are delays in the updates of counts and things. That doesn't invalidate Hotsauce's points as those are routinely the reasons why the game count isn't accurate.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
