Steam Screenshots Not Working

I've recently got a new computer, and i wanted to test if everything still works.
When I'm in-game and i hit f12, it brings up the settings of the computer.
When I hit f5, it either pauses or plays a video i had open.
I tried changing the button, but there isn't any change whatsoever.

Does anyone share a similar problem, is there a way i can still take screenshots and upload them to steam?

Is your steam overlay enabled? If not go to Steam > Settings > In-Game and make sure "Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game" is checked. Also you can try rebinding your screenshot key.

^^ That, and also - are you using a laptop or a desktop? Because the F keys may not be working the same on a laptop.

Click Shift + Tab in game and close out of it and try taking a screenshot.

go to Steam > settings > in-game "Screenshot folder" change the location

Does it not work for all games or one specific game?

Do you have any software running that Draws an overlay over your screen while in-game? For example an fps counter or your CPU/GPU temps ? Or an alternative screenshot software? If so close it.
