Regional price difference?

If the price difference between the 2 regions is more than 10% after currency conversion, you can not gift it. The original regional restrictions still apply, if the game has them.

If that is the case, send one of these using external funds only...

For custom amounts over the minimum allowed to purchase, use this guide...

For price references, use this site... https://steamdb.info/

Or use https://isthereanydeal.com/

Don't suggest that people do things that will get their account sanctioned.

Read the Steam subscriber agreement, you agree to it when you made your account. Steam can lock/close your account for doing something you shouldn't, aka region hopping.

Honestly don't know why Steam can't just allow people to purchase a gift game in the region's price instead of there own. If a 10% change is such a big problem, just have them pay the region price. My friend is getting trouble over what amounts to one dollar in difference sending a gift.

Use steamdb.info to see what the price is in the other country. Google does a fine job providing currency conversion. Done.

Number of reasons why can't just gift.
- Regional banned in a country.
- Tax evasion, or paying for tax you shouldn't be paying.
- Regional price abuse, which why 10% restriction was placed.
- There few games that has regional differences such as censorship.

There's nothing stopping you from sending the funds directly to the person to buy the game.
