Friends can't see my games list

I have my game settings set to 'Friends Only', but they can't see it. If I set it to 'Public', they can see it. However I would like to put it on friends and not public.

Are you referring to the recently played games?

If you have a checkmark in the box for "Always keep my total playtime private even if users can see my game details." then your recently played will be hidden from everyone.

No I am referring to all games. The entire "Games" button is missing from my profile. :(

I've been switching my settings around and checking it with a 2nd account and everything seems to work as expected. maybe it's just one of your friends having a problem?

For 2 of my friends (I haven't asked any others) the "Games" button is completely missing. It looks as it would if I had put it on private, but it is on friends only.

Is your privacy setting for "friends list" set to "private"? If so, try changing that to "friends only". That should allow friends to see your games list.

Thanks. This fixed it, however it does provide a different problem. Now my "friends list" is now viewable by others. Oh well. I just hope that this bug will get fixed soon.

Yeah, I know. I'd rather have my friends list kept private too, but currently this is the only way to allow friends to see your games list.

I'm not sure if Valve are even aware of this bug.

The problem still persists. I would like to show my games list but not my friends list so friends can not see my games now.

I had the same issue. I was able to fix it by checking and then unchecking the "Always keep my total playtime private even if users can see my game details." checkbox under "Game Details". This seems to have cleared up whatever was causing the issue. Good luck.
