Steam service component is not working properly on this computer

A couple of days ago i had to re-format my PC because it had malware on it. I've since re-installed everything and everything is working just fine... except 2 of my Steam games (Sniper Elite V2 and Sniper Elite Nazi Zombie Army" Everytime i try to launch them i get that message which also says "Reinstalling the Steam service requires administrator privileges" and there's a button there that says "Install Service" but clicking on it does nothing. In all the years i've had Steam i never had this issue before... what exactly is it and how do i fix it?

@Fred I'm not tech savvy at all, so i don't even know what that is. I've reformatted my PC plenty of times before and never had this problem, plus it's just those 2 games, all the rest work fine.

You'll want to do some research on user account controls and other account based permissions on Windows.

@Fred Not sure if you were asking me or telling me there, but i disabled UAC and exact same result. @Robin3sk... Saw a youtube vid that said to go to services and set something to Automatic, again did that and exact same result and again it's just these 2 games... everything else works fine.

Never mind, got it working now... just right-clicked on Steam, went to Properties, Compatibility and selected Run As Administrator. All good now.

@Fred Why shouldn't Steam run as administrator?

@Fred But it won't damage anything, right? It might be a little annoying having to click the yes button but that's it, correct?
