I cant sign in

Ok look I'm signed in on google but I cant sign in on the official steam app its says "you have entered your password or account name incorrectly. Please check your password and account name and try again." So I did 30 TIMES and can't play any of my games, because all of my games are steam games

When you login to the steam client, you need to use your "account name".
* Not your email (unless you used that as your account name)
* Not your public name "reemations33".

If you don't remember your account name, any email you receive from steam starts with "hello <your account name>", so check your email for any old mail from them.

Same problem. I changed my password, I changed the associated email address. I have no idea why I cannot log into the app. I can log in on Chrome with no problem. Super frustrating.

Check that you are using the account log in name like Joke said in the first response to the OP.

Make sure that there are no extra spaces at the end of the account name and no extra spaces at the end of the password.

For me, the problem was just that I had a space after my username causing the login error. If you are sure your password is correct, try putting your cursor right at the end of your username and hold down the DEL key (not backspace) to delete any extra "spaces" that might have accidentally been entered after your user name. Spaces cannot be seen but will cause the log-in failure.

Did either of you make a password for your Steam account that is longer than 64 characters?

The Steam website accepts a longer password than the Steam client so you can log into Steam on a browser with the longer-than-64-characters password, but on the client the password gets cut off after 64 characters. Because your password is missing all characters after the 64th character, you get the error message that either the log-in name or password is wrong.

I think the limit is 64 characters when using the Steam app. (From what I can research on the matter)

I suggest doing a password reset and making it 64 or smaller.

The password length limit of the Steam Website and the Steam App are different. The website can handle up to 99 characters while the app can only handle up to 64.

I just recently changed my password on my Steam account to a 99-character length string using a password manager. I was able to log-in normally to the website by copying and pasting the password.

The problem happened in the steam app when I tried to copy and paste the password. It can only accept up to 64 characters.
