"Steamworks Common Redistributables" ironically does not work
Every time I need to install a game on my account, my steam client automatically prioritizes this program called "Steamworks Common Redistributables". I guess it's a sort of program that lets you install additional content to your games like mods and such? but its download bar doesn't even move an inch despite what the other download bar on the home screen says

I really need some help, is anyone else having this issue?

It drivers, games would store the drivers in the game folder. Steam added Steamworks to have your driver's there, so when you run game, it ask you to install your driver's, if for whatever reason not asked to install drivers, and you're lacking them, you go to the Steamworks folder, and manually install your driver's it makes it easier on you to find all your drivers in one spot.

It is a tool to house all the game redists instead of each game having their own spread out over every game folder.

It should not be a big download and finish quickly.

thnx for letting me know what this tool is, but do you know what I have to do when its download bar "lies"? by that, I mean that its download bar on my home screen says that it's finished downloading, but it does not confirm or finish the downloading process. I went to see its progress only to find out that it didn't even move an inch

Not all games use same drivers. When you download your games, you may download a driver and will show up in the Steamworks folder.

If you want all drivers to cover you for wide range of games, I suggest ensure to have Microsoft visual C++ 2005 ~ 2019 for both x86 and x64 versions installed, Microsoft frame network latest version, directx, nivida physic X latest driver, and forgot the last one that is audio driver for very old games that very few uses it, like mafia 1 classic, or etc...
