Does anyone know how to fix this issue? Im trying to change my password and this error keeps popping up. I contracted steam and they said they don't know how to fix it

Rather than using the Steam client's built in browser and features, try a browser like Firefox or Chrome, and navigate to Steam's website.

It's still a little bit shaky even there. It still reported errors and it doesn't seem to like some password styles (symbols, case, number of characters, etc.), but I eventually generated a password that Steam liked (despite the error messages on the web) and got an e-mail saying my password had changed. My account is using the new password now.

(I know this is over a month old and you might have found your own solution by now, but if someone else searches the error message, they might see this and try what worked for me!)
