thats it, i promise you its my account. i just want to contact steam support so that i can ask them to change my email so that i can change my phone number. cuz its a yahoo account and it was my friends. i use that yahoo account for my facebook. idk if i can receive yahoo mails in facebook but please help me in any way you can cause i just want to play ranked in dota. To start open a web browser, do not be login to any account.

Do the recovery process, put in fake email to fail search, a blue box will appear below, providing you option to search by account login name, once you found your account, choose you do not have access to email, because you wouldn't have access to email that you no longer have access to on the account. If it ask to provide proof like PayPal, or filling in details such as credit card, you can do that, and it should give you options to recovery your account.


If you can't do those simple steps, than you need to contact support, by filling out the account recovery form, and provide details that support ask from you. To do search by account login name, put in fake email that doesn't exist, it will fail the search, and a blue box appar providing you an option to search by account name, put in your login name, and it should bring up your account, then click on do not have access to email, same with forgot password, and you should be at the form to fill out.

You don't need Steam support to change your account information.
If you are having trouble logging into an account, open to following in a browser you aren't logged into Steam with:

Changing phone number requires email and changing email requires number. It's a loop lol

Also, the situation is rather unclear; it seems to be an account that was abandoned long ago. If you can't even get past the initial Steamguard certifying the device, you definitely can't change anything.
