How to Boost more FPS In Steam Games for potato pcs or laptops! (In simple ways)
(It may work if it's from steam without using any other engines like Ubisoft or Origins)

In the steam library, right click any of your favourite steam game. Then choose "Properties", there should have a popout, Choose "Set Launch Options..) Then another popouts, Paste Anything below:
(Only choose One)(Warning- Do Not Try To Run All version of DirectX, Otherwise There Will Be Crashes)

"-force-d3d9" (forces steam games to DirectX 9)(Best for Low end PCs)

"-force-d3d10" (forces steam games to DirectX 10)(Best for some quality)

"-force-d3d11" (forces steam games to DirectX 11)(Best for qualities and fps but not getting more fps than DX 9)

"-USEALLAVAILABLECORES -sm4 -d3d10 -lowmemory -high -nomansky -novsnyc +r_rootlod 2 +mat_picmip 2 +mat_reducefillrate 1 +r_waterforceexpensive 0 +r_waterforcereflectentities 0 +r_shadowrendertotexture 0 +mat_colorcorrection 0 +mat_trilinear 0" (for Highest fps on steam games)

- OR -

"-USEALLAVAILABLECORES -sm4 -d3d9 -lowmemory -high -nomansky -novsnyth +r_rootlod 2 +mat_picmip 2 +mat_reducefillrate 1 +r_waterforceexpensive 0 +r_waterforcereflectentities 0 +r_shadowrendertotexture 0 +mat_colorcorrection 0 +mat_trilinear 0" (For the BEST FIT OF FPS)
(Remove the Quatation marks)

Then Click Done.

After Finished doing it, Open your favourite game and Make your setting to low and zero antialiasings. Done! You could Try those settings!
If you don't Really like those methods, you could go to right click any of your favourite steam games in your library. Then choose "Properties", there should have a popout, Choose "Set Launch Options..) Then another popouts, Delete every thing in the box and press done!

That doesn't work for "all" games since not all games using the same game engine.

You are aware that 99.9% of games do not use the Source engine and those commands will literally have no effect, right?

There are thousands of games on Steam that do not use the Source engine. And it doesn't even work with all of the Source games.

What you are talking about are VALVE games.
How is anyone supposed to take you seriously if you screw up such a very basic thing?

Those are platforms NOT game engines. You suggestion is for Source engine games, Not Steam games. Steam is a platform not an engine.

ok
-USEALLAVAILABLECORES, -sm4, force-d3d9(-11), -novsync, -nomansky and -d3d9 are not valid Source engine launch arguments; some of these only work for UE4[docs.unrealengine.com] and others apply for Unity[docs.unity3d.com] only.

These are launch args for ARK Survival Evolved and other games that use Unreal Engine 4.
