this dont happend by itself , if pc has been demote , then it will be throw this in your face every time. ( you sure its even your account )

ps.
do note i did not say it aient that. its simple a security matter and something trigger this now.

double check right account and login.

i do not work for steam, but this dont happend without something cause this.

you could have been hacked or other weird issue wrong email or mobil verification fail.

and who knows if this dont work witnin 24hours if steam have a issue.

reboot router and pc 3 minute after to check, could be a very good advice.
i did not say this will solve it. but hammer the site with no code is not the solution.

well, Iceira, thank you for your responses. sadly, i am not finding a solution to this.

even if someone did guess my password, it wouldn't cause STEAM Guard to show up my end after having already used it and saving the PC. i doubt someone has my password... it is really long and has everything in it, plus padding. my email password, which they would need to get past STEAM Guard is even more so secure.

rebooting the modem/router did nothing to help either :(

and also 100% certain i am using the correct account. it is my only account.

the problem isn't not getting the email, the problem is that i have to use the code form email each and every time STEAM starts up.

*so sad*

ahh, then you most have cookie or web cache issue within steam own setting. try clear them

try steam setting . clear web browser cache and cookie there, to see if that help, and ofc you save the crediatial, but some how it dont work as it should i guess.

check also family, manage other computer.

ps.

just checking uncheck Dont save crediatial ( or flip flop option to reactivate it ) dont ask it just seen before in some apps that even that fix it. )

okay... nothing is working, i have tried those things you suggest just now. sorry, Iceira... FML... i just don't know what else to try, and have been at this for like 3+ hours now.

it doesn't make sense. i have been using STEAM on my PC just fine, and boom this starts to happen. i changed nothing, so why? omfg... this is pure crap.

wait 24 hours best advice now, to confirm other steam user with same issue or sorry to say it your pc with dont remember it.

feel free to update netcard driver and router check firmware or software . this has also been seen before. even reset own router. but as i said wait 24hours , and see if this dont fix itself cant see how , but what if this is a steam server issue.

If Steam doesn't remember your device authorization, it means that "the device" isn't storing it's cookie. For browsers, this generally means the browser is literally configured to discard cookies. For the Steam client, I'm not sure as information is vague at best -- it seems that some broken cleanup programs out there delete Steam client data.

steam flush maybe ? google it.

FML... i guess there's no fix for this.

i seriously don't understand why this happening. it doesn't make sense. there's no logical reason for it.

i am 100% certain nothing on my PC changed. heck i even keep Windows Update paused. it just magically started to happen.

time to contact customer support, or sumshit... i am seriously about ready to find a window to throw a brick through.

1. Check the "save your login info" in the login screen.

2. Also uncheck "don't save account credentials..." in your settings under Steam > Settings > Account after you do login.

3. Log out.

4. Log back in entering all the info minus the account name again.

5. Log out.

6. Check... Log back in to see if it was done correctly.

Also exit Steam manually before shutting your computer. Many people seem to simply shut down their computers and let the OS force close programs as the shut down process happens.

Steam and several other programs don’t like that.

So if you are one of those people, try exiting Steam manually (by right clicking on the system tray icon for Steam and picking Exit). Or by using the Exit option in the top menu in the Steam client.

Reboot or shut down your computer only after the Steam client has finished manually closing.

OKAY~!

first, i am rather stoked about how quickly Valve responded to me on my support request.

second, they said this happened because someone was trying to bruteforce my account password.

third, it continued happening even after they stopped because apparently it flipped some kind of switch which Valve had to flip off.

ISSUE RESOLVED~!

well... there is only ONE, maybe two, person/people in this entire world that knows my account name. we haven't been friends for like 10years now. LOL

i get instant/live delivery reports from my email account used for my STEAM account. in the end, they didn't get my password. i would know, because of STEAM Guard.

thank you everyone~! :)

do note its not any company job to tell any security issue that might help hacker if they learn it.
and why you out of the blue got issue. with auto login save

you sure you dont have a mail from steam that someone try access account from other place.
or maybe you did, dont forget we other also scrates our heads here, all i know new pc cant access it without confirm it. ( this require they have access to mail also. )

any tech person here know this. so steam reply can be true , someone try guess right PW

this is my best guess and recommendation ( check for keyloggers also )
if i was you i will change email pw also , they still have to accept new pc unless they have ways to avoid that. )

do note we have no proof of this, but do scan for addware and keylogger.
and you need to do this before you change anything

we are not here to scare you or think we know all, security ppl will always be a step behind hackers, never forget that.
