Steam Games Do Not Launch When Integrated Graphics Card Is Disabled.

I could use some help here, steam games will not launch when I have my integraded graphics card disabled in device manager. I want it disabled to increase performance. I have tried everything that has to do with the NVIDIA Control Panel 3D Application Settings (steam and specific applications use High Performance Graphics). Wondering if any of you reading this have any other ideas that could work.

If you don't have an actual video card ENABLED at the time, that may be a problem...

Some laptops will NOT allow you to disable the chipset, so without knowing anything at all about your computer or your setup for hardware and apps, ... make sure that you've enabled the card, and gotten its drivers all settled.

It won't 'increase' performance for a different object, if it's disabled, though. Your games or computer will use one or the other already, not some weird combination of both.

A point of order too, so you aren't confusing yourself:

An INTEGRATED CHIPSET is a built-in item on the motherboard. It is a CHIP, not a card.

A VIDEO CARD is a separate physical hardware object that is insrted ONTO a motherboard, that has its own whole set of programming and drivers, and is entirely independent of what goes on the mobo.

(sorry I used to do technical writing for a hardware firm, so... calling it a 'card' when it's an integrated chip is a big tell that you likely aren't sure what is in your computer or how it works.)

only OP know from laptop manual if this is a laptop that use 2 card as one, and why igp is 2d and other is 3D and thats why it cant be disable or you have game point at wrong card or system do, ask own laptop support.
