Impossible to get gift from America to Europe ?

Mh girlfriend wants to buy me Squadrons with the money she have on her steam account. Problem ? It appears she can't buy me the game as a gift. We also tried steam gift cards but it's impossible to buy them with the steam money. Any advice ?

The price difference exceeds a 10% difference threshold (i.e. the game is more expensive where the recipient lives) therefore gifting is not possible. This is known as a Steam regional gifting restriction to prevent people from buying cheap games and giving them to people where they are more expensive.

This cannot be overridden, by support or otherwise.

She can give you a digital card but it cannot be paid by wallet, as you've learned.

If it over 10% between the two different currencies for price gap after conversion then your other option is to send Steam gift funds to you.

This doesn't work. A friend from the US is trying to send me something via that to EU and it says not possible. This is a joke!

How is your friend trying to send you funds?

- Are you, and your friend, friends for more than 3 days / 72 hours on Steam?
- Gift cards are region restricted.
- If trying to send funds using Steam wallet it won't work, have to be external payment that means, credit card, or bank transfer.
