Lost my save file on Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2: Grand Prix
When I turned the game on, I saw that I lost all my data. I was wondering is there any way to recover game data? I see that Cloud backup is activated, how do I recover save data?

take it to support then, because missing ID , then all backup seem pointless. not sure steam support want to miss what is going on here.

In my library I pressed support on the game but my problem couldn't be found on Steam, so it gave me the link to the company website. I have send the company that sells the game a message about my problem.

Did I do the correct thing?

contact both. not sure if that missing steam ID is a game devs issue.

How do I contact Steam about this problem? This is the first time having a problem like this.

What section of Steam do I need to go to?

Cloud save can be found here. Steam help page > My account > Data releated to my account, Look for "Steam Cloud" click on it, then click show files for your game.

Here direct link to the cloud save, please do this on broswer in order to download your files.

@Iceira Sorry I took long to reply, I figured out how to contact Steam about it.

@Dr.Shadowds 🐉 I have downloaded the file from Mozilla Firefox, how do I get Steam to read the data? I go to Steam button on top of the application and then press Backup and Restore Games...

I press restore game and go to the folder which contains the backup, but it doesn't detect it.
So the game ID is 1383960 that I didn't know.

Sorry for asking a lot. Thanks for being patient, since I am still learning.

Edit the downloaded file is called this user.dat

Assuming what you download is your past save files you wanted, and not replaced by new save files. The files you download is the save files that the Devs instructed Steam cloud to upload.

1st step open a folder, go to where the save files are for the game.

A safe test is disable cloud save for the game, make copy of your downloaded save files, then replace the current save files you want to replace.

For force sync your current save files in folder for the game method when you have cloud save enable, launch the game for a moment, move the downloaded game save files you got from your browser, and replace with the save files you have, go back into game press ALT + F4 to force close game, Steam should pick up on save files to upload, this will upload those files, launch game, see if it's your past save files.

I decided I will start a new game, it seems the only data I can recover is when I lost my save file. I can't regain my data I had before I lost it.

could that be the cause ? , if you start new game and then it overwrite old data , i know many ppl think cloud is a backup , its not its a sync storage that update even if you make a corrupted file , then it sync that.

feel free to google recuva and other file restore app that might can find a delete files on harddisk. ( do know save game file type and location ) this is simple then you know such maybe not then you have never done it before.
