Can you get vacced for running a minecraft server in the background?
'Cos I did that when playing csgo.
It was a spigot type server (basically a non vanilla client)

Out of curiosity, why did you think it would do this?
I can understand if you asked what would happen if Cheat Engine was open at the same as you launched a VAC protected game, but a Minecraft server? HUH?
idk lol, it was a slightly modified server. I typically don't run such stuff in the background when playing csgo so I just wanted to make sure I was safe.

You cant get VACed in csgo if any program that you're using doesnt inject itself into csgo. The only way cheats work are that they inject a dll file into csgo itself, so youre safe from any program that doesnt interfere with csgo

Yeah, I've heard of that. Always wondered why csgo can't just overwrite those files.

That's not how CSGO works.
When people cheat in CSGO, they inject stuff into the game, to cheat.
Aimbots and the like. wallhacks, etc.

Not sure why you think CSGO would override the files that get altered by the cheats when the cheats would apply to the game while it was running.
You mean they inject themselves once the game is up?

Also, bit off topic but do you need to deliberately inject it? As in, is it possible to get a trojan that injects ghost dlls unbeknownst to you? Which in turn get you banned?
Gotta keep my Windows Defender close.

Minecraft doesn't even use VAC. A game has to use VAC in order for a VAC ban to even be a factor. VAC detects cheats that are known (to itself).
