Among us won't open/update

I just bought the game among us, but when I attempt to launch the game it says that there was an error with the updating, and that I was missing some sort of file or something in Application Support. Anyone know how to fix this?

Are you trying to play the game on a mac or linux?.

I'm trying to play on a mac, I actually just solved that issue but now the game won't launch. It starts to launch then says it's running for a moment before going back to just giving me the 'Play' button

The system requirements doesn't say anything about MAC, so it's probably not supported on MAC.

The thing is, though, that it shows the game launching and running. And unlike other games like Raft, it doesn't say 'Available on Windows'. It gives me the option to click the play button, it just doesn't seem to go through with the procedure.

How do you want to run a game (without third-party apps) if it doesn't have MAC compatible files?.

I'm not sure, I was just confused because it doesn't state that the game is only available on windows. It appears to be perfectly fine for mac, the only thing that's happening is that it crashes after a few seconds of running.

The game isn't officially supported on MacOS. Meaning your chances to get it running are slim to none. See if you can run the Windows version through Proton. If that ain't helpin', Bootcamp is your solution.

I just found, you may also be able to run it on MacOS using an Android emulator.
