That's fake.

remove the link
steam will only contact you thru account alerts, they do not use discord, steam chat, changing the profile, etc

if you think your account is compromised

Steps to take NOW:
1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
3. Change passwords from a clean computer
4. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
5. Revoke the API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)

Just to add on to what everyone else has said:

Valve will never warn you about anything. If they suspect something is going on they will lock your account down first without asking questions. You'll see a red alert in your Steam client which you cannot miss. They will force you to contact them to straighten things out.

Again, they will never ever contact you first and threaten to lock down your account. They will just do it first and ask questions later.

Lastly, why would they use Discord which has nothing to do with Valve? They have their own methods of contacting you. It would be like Blizzard contacting you on Steam for a Blizzard account problem.

Just look at the English when he hits the "delete" button.

"If you think the Steam user is under false accusation."

Even a child has better English grammar.

haha i was being pretty dumb, I already knew it wasnt valve. The first sentence in my post says I knew it was a scam. I was just wondering if they could actually delete my account but I guess I was too nervous to see the details.

You still have an account security issue given they were able to change your profile name. Follow the steps that Wolf Knight laid out to help you resecure it.

They didn't change my name. I have had all of those before and I changed myself to tradeit.gg for a third party website
Some of my previous names that are different were just my little brother being dumb. Like thats why one of my previous names was "Vector hacked this account", he was just being annoying and trying to be funny

The grammar is actually part of the scam... it filters out less gullible people and reduces the amount of time wasting the scammer engages in. Added bonus a lot of us pat ourselves on the back for being able to read, and assume it's because scammers are dumb (and foreign) and so we dismiss them as a serious threat or issue. Which of course benefits the scammers

They aren't that dumb. Their techniques are much more refined that people give them credit for sometimes.

So they had to refer to a video to keep the narrative of them being admins, because you knew it was a scam?

No company especially Valve would ever send a video of them taunting the user about deleting their account. I've read about users falling for this exact type of scam and it makes me cringe at the thought of them actually believing it.
كاني 2020 年 11 月 25 日 下午 12:13
Okay guys for the last time I KNOW ITS NOT VALVE, I knew it was a scam to begin with, my original question was “Are scammers able to delete my account remotely” and I put the video asking if there were any signs of it being fake. Like yeah no ♥♥♥♥ valve wouldn’t threaten me.

You shouldn't be advertising websites in your name, it's a breach of Steam's community guidelines. https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=4045-USHJ-3810

Ah ok I didn’t know that, lots of third party websites have like offers if you put the website name on your steam name. Like Tradeit. gg gives you a three percent discount if you have their name on your steam. Had no idea it wasn’t allowed. Thanks for sharing, kinda weird they still do it if it’s against guidelines

Because they get people to do it and advertise for them, in turn if those people are reported then their community profile is entirely reset and if they keep doing it they can receive a permanent ban. Those sites aren't even legal to use if you use real money to purchase items from like CSGO/DOTA 2, so they don't care what other rules they break.
