Account Stolen

My friend has just had his account stolen, they have managed to bypass the security. The original email address has been changed. The account name is [removed]. Can't connect via PayPal, all emails have vanished. Need help urgently!

You should have received an email about the changes to your password/email. In that email is a link that allows you to lock the account, this will help reduce the damage that the hijacker can do.

While waiting for support to return the account, figure out how you gave away the account log in (if you havent already done so). All 3rd party sites are USE AT OWN RISK.

Thanks for the information. We have tried everything, the username has now vanished, emails have vanished and the PayPal account has not let him verify or it's been removed from the account but that's besides the point. He has changed his PayPal password

u lost Paypal account or Steam account? if other player wants to login via paypal, he needs your number, not really possible to hack paypal account: you need password, email and phone number

My friends Steam account got taken. They have changed the email address, password, and now the username. They have also either changed/removed the paypal account associated on the account as well.

The people who stole the account have managed to bypass the steam security and changed everything. He wants his account back as he's purchased games on the account.

That's just like trying to hide my name on here "*******" the account name is what I stated it as...

Your profile name isn't always your account name, you shouldn't be giving away ANY account info as it makes your account more vulnerable.

1. The username cannot be changed
2. They didn't bypass anything, he was phished or compromised
3. Follow the posted steps

Again, your friend has to follow these steps - https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1126288560 - it walks you thru it step by step and you need to follow all the steps to get to the prompt to recover it with account name.

There is nothing you can do, only he can take action

i think he is talking about Paypal Email or Steam profile name.
I don't really understand how someone can hack Paypal Account without phone number.

If his paypal email was changed then he has a massive breach on his end as multiple sites were effected then.

But again, the username is the key to recovering the account on steam which cannot be changed

No one has hacked his PayPal. Also my friend has given full permission to post away on here to help him out in any way possible. I don't need people commenting saying not to give out the username to the account. [removed] is his username like mine is ItsJustKeiichi!

Someone has hacked his Steam account for the final time. The username does not exist anymore. His PayPal account has been removed from his Steam account! The email he used for his account has been changed as well. All emails he got was during early hours, he went to recover the account by clicking on the emails and they all vanished.

Again remove the user names, your giving out personal info that will help scammers get access to the account in the future.

The username CANNOT be changed.

Again your friend has to follow the steps posted to recover his account. Nothing else can be done.
