Can you play in EU servers from the U.S?

I'm moving to the U.S(California) in a couple of weeks and i would like to know if i could still play with my friends and if i will still be able to play on my favorite tf2 servers with a good ping.

You know you can select servers to play on, especially for that game, right?

Be aware some servers may have scripts where if your ping is too high, it may kick you from the server. Likely you'll be fine.

Well, you'd have to meet in the middle or something. neither of you will have amazing ping but it might be good enough. East coast of NA, Iceland, or western Europe is pretty much as good as you'll get.

Your ping on the other hand is probably not going to be awesome from the west coast to Europe. That's almost on the other side of the globe relatively

Also you would have to check on that server rules as a lot of custom servers will auto kick people with ping above a certain speed to prevent laggers.

Short answer: Yes.

Issues may occur if your ping too high, which there are server that auto kick for high ping, there also game experience that can be affected as well such as rubber banding, delay, and possible connection stutters such as lag.
