Eastern US here- no issues with Friends Network, or any other part of Steam, on Steam Client (haven't tested on mobile or browser yet).
or google steam flush cmd. ( google it )
or contact steam support with it, who know is this is a specifik a mobil with steam client issue.
because many of us dont have both and Friends & chat still show as it always did.
cant say that fit all or the few here. but maybe ithat why so many cant agree on a issue then it works for other.
Trying to contact steam support ends with Error E502 L3.
Since Steamflush is known to cause loss of games and you need to "redownload" them again, I'll use this as a last resort if this persists for a few more days. Not going to ruin my precious configs over something that may as well be Steams issue.
Right now the community server shows "bad gateway", so the chances are very high that this all is just Steam server issues.
Yes, all of us who have win7 have been presenting this problem since yesterday.
Possibly it is because yesterday, September 30, many security certificates for old devices expired.
That means?
We need to update to Win 10, even though many games, if not most games on Steam still say "Win 7" as the minimum or even optimal requirement?
Steam needs to support all OS's, there is no way around it.
Is this related?

bumping this thread. i won't let it die till steam support will acknowledge the situation and say they are handling it.
(Not going to apply a certificate unless directed by their support, nor should other users)
