Modify existing steam library folder
I want to modify an existing library folder which is under my E: drive.

I don't want to move my installed games to a different drive, i just want to update the path under which all games are installed, i.e: i have this path for my steam games

E:\Program Files (x86)

and all i want to do is create an extra folder: E:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\

How can i do that and also if i do change it, will it affect my already installed games? Thanks in advance!

You can't create a new library on the same drive so you'll need to do a little fiddling.

With Steam Closed Locate your game folder which should be
E:\Program Files (x86)/steamapps
Rename the folder to E:\Program Files (x86)/steamapps_old
Load Steam
Steam > Settings > Downloads > Steam Library Folders
Right click the Library located on E: and remove it
Add a new library were you want
E:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\
E:\Steam\
E:\Games\
or where ever you want.
Close Steam

Cut and paste the contents of the E:\Program Files (x86)/steamapps_old folder to the new location.

Delete the you can delete the E:\Program Files (x86)/steamapps_old folder

Once complete Load Steam. All games should be shown as installed like they were before but from the new location.
