Is there other ways to earn card drops other than purchasing a game?

Also, when I click on the How can I earn more drops? sub link, it only tells me that I'm eligible for a booster pack.

I'm really wondering if there are other ways to earn card drops to get more cards as I'm playing a game.

You only get 1/2 the total amount of cards in the set by playing the game (+1 for odd totals).

The rest, you trade or buy on the market.

If you don't own the game how do you expect to get any card drops?

You only get drops for 50% of cards needed to craft a badge.

All other cards you need to trade for or buy from the market

You can get booster packs by either gems, crafting a badge, trading, or buying them from the market. There's a tiny chance you get a booster pack when someone makes a badge for the game that you gotten all the card drops for it already. Also booster packs are RNG, so you never know what 3 cards you get when you open it.

Gems can be gotten from turning cards, wallpaper, or emoji into gems from your inventory, or you can trade, or buy from the market gem sack.
