Family sharing issue between 3 people
Hey, guys. If this has been asked before or there's a comment that explains my issue, please direct me to it and I'll remove this if necessary. But I searched this and couldn't find my specific issue.

Anyway, so I have 3 people in this situation. Myself, my girlfriend and her younger cousin.

The three of us are on Steam Family Sharing by all logging into each others' PCs so that the cousin can play without buying anything. The game in question here is Tomb Raider: Anniversary. Both myself and my girlfriend have actually purchased the game.

The issue:

I play games more than my girlfriend so I linked both our Steam accounts to her cousin so that he can use her library for Tomb Raider: Anniversary when I'm in-game.

However, this doesn't work. Even though my girlfriend also owns it and shares her library with her cousin, as soon as I'm in game, her cousin is not able to play Tomb Raider: Anniversary.

I tried removing my family sharing from his account (it then shows shared by my girlfriend) and then re-adding it but then it shows that it is only shared by me again.

I don't want to remove my library from his account because I have over 600 games and having to remove it each time he plays sounds like a large hassle.

Am I missing something?

Family Sharing by default does not let users choose which account the game is shared from.

Do this...

Thanks! Although, while this is sort of helpful, I guess there isn't an actual solution yet. I think that ideally, Steam should search for the next available player that owns the game if the first library is in use. But oh well. I hope they implement this. If not, I think it'll be fine for now if I just play offline while he's playing.

Can I share specific games?

No, libraries are shared in their entirety. You aren't able to select specific games to share or exclude.

Additionally, for users that are borrowing multiple Steam Libraries, they will be unable to choose who they borrow a game from.
