The email "help@steamsupport.us" authentic from Steam?
Hello everyone, what happens is that my account was stolen a week ago all for logging into a phishing page (I know it was silly) but what happens is that the one who stole my account seems that he did not close the credentials of the open session because he had changed both my phone number and my email but he did not close the Steam session on my pc, so I proceeded to contact with support from there, but I got a chat message supposedly from Steam support telling me to email help@steamsupport.us to let them know about my issue, he asked me to provide
1.- my user
2.- my first email used to create the account
3.- and the auto-lock code of my account (because I blocked it that same day)
my question is: is that email address legit from Steam or does it pretend to be the same?
Thanks for your time

No, it's not a legit address.
Also, support will never contact you through Steam chat.

You got a chat message? Scam. Support deals with the ticket system, never with chat messages.
It is fake.
And the hijacker also read your real ticket and content.

Thats why he let you stay on account.

Since it had never happened to me, I didn't know what to do, and seeing that it was @ steamsupport.us I assumed it was a legitimate address. I doubt because since Wednesday of last week at 3 am he no longer answered me but thanks for all the answers, I will be more careful next time.

No. That is not a legitimate Steam Support contact. They're probably a scammer. Do not share any information with them, report their Steam Profile and block them.

If you have access to the account

Steps to take NOW:
1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
3. Change passwords from a clean computer
4. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
5. Revoke the API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)

Please review how you are logging into Steam, you somehow gave them your log in information. This could of been due to the computer being compromised and redirecting to a fake login, or you using a 3rd party site to login to steam.

Once you are sure you have regained control, you can start trading again. Please triple check any trades you make to be sure they are going to the correct account.

After you have secured the account, please edit your profile back to normal (if it was altered by the hijacker/scammer)

If you have lost access to the account

Here is a guide that another Steam user was kind enough to make. It will help you navigate your way thru the recovery process if you are having any problems.

You should have received an email about the changes to your password/email. In that email is a link that allows you to lock the account, this will help reduce the damage that the hijacker can do.

While waiting for support to return the account, figure out how you gave away the account log in (if you havent already done so). All 3rd party sites are USE AT OWN RISK.

contact steam support explain your problem in detail and preferably send payment receipts (if you have made purchases on steam) and give your first email with which you created the account and in 1 day they will return it to you.
