Transfer Years of Service Badge
So a few months back I was able to get an account of mine from 2012 back, and I wanted to have the years of service badge on my new account, (the one I'm on). Is there anyway I can transfer that badge or have this account transferred over to the old one? I'm pretty sure there's nothing I can do. BTW this is the account from 2012 https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198074172983

Sure, wait until you have those years.

Why do people think that they can transfer stuff between accounts.

Wouldn't that defeat the purpose with that badge, after all it show how old an account is.

You can't transfer anything from one account to another, games/badges stay where they was earned/bought.

Then stay on the old account.

You realize that the old account doesn't even get the 5 year badge because it's limited?

I was thinking of that 2, I agree. It just really annoys me to think I could've had 5 years of service if I never forgot the accounts existence. I could easily just rebuy my games on the other account but it wouldnt be the same without other badges and all the hours I had.

Buy a single new game to unrestrict the old account, and familyshare the games from the new account to the old.

Yes but I have been informed multiple times if 5$ is spent then the bagde will "instantly go up" but I also heard it don't count the time when its limited which one is true?

Once you spend $5 it'll get all the years and probably the one-stop shopper badge since you seem to have at least one game.

Or maybe not. I didn't see that it's not showing actual games.

As far as I know, you get the badge the second the account is unrestricted.

The first. If you unlimit an account you get all the years added to the badge that account exists since the limitation was introduced a few years ago.

"Years of service" is tied to the account, not the user. It's just a fancy way of saying "Steam account age."

You know what, I am just going to let it go, its just a number. Just the accounts age, not how long Ive used steam for.
well you got your years
